The Women's Fund

Founded on the premise that every woman must have a purse of her own . . . The Women's Fund is meant to be a celebration of our past, our voice for the present, and our gift to the future. As an endowed fund, The Women's Fund provides a permanent legacy for the future of our community.

Established by the generosity of one hundred founding women in 2000, these special women continue the tradition of leadership and service and are shaping our community as their mothers and grandmothers did in generations past. The Fund is used each year to enhance the lives of women and their children through scholarships, emergency mini-grants, health/human service programs and projects -- all designed to provide help and encouragement at critical points and send a message to the recipients that someone you may never meet cares about you.  

The Women's Fund is a testament to the idea that "you are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it come true." The Fund is building a unique legacy that will improve the lives of women and children now and forever. In its brief history, the Fund has formed successful partnerships with local non-profit organizations to provide assistance to local women. The Women's Fund distributes grants both large and small throughout the year with some listed below:
